Automotive Enthusiasts

Family Customs was founded by true automotive enthusiasts. With roots dated back to the 60’s and early 70’s, drag racing at Lyons Drag Strip in Los Angeles, Ca. In 2001, we began creating custom cars and trucks. For four consecutive years, 2004-2007, our vehicles were invited by our sponsors to attend SEMA. It was in 2006 that we were given the esteemed pleasure to accept the Designs Award by General Motors. From that time our creations have been acknowledged in some of the industries hottest; magazines, TV shows, sponsors and show flyers in So Cal. The Family Customs Dodge Charger R/T 5.7L Hemi V8 is like no other you’ve ever seen! One look at it and the first words out of your mouth will be, “Damn! That’s a hot ride!” And because it’s such an impeccable build, it was chosen as one of the “Hottest Dodge Sedans” at the 2016 SEMA Show by SEMA News Magazine. The mastermind behind the ride is Nick Lopez of Family Customs, who has long been building custom cars with his father, brother and son.

“2016 Sema Hottest Dodge Sedan“

One of the best examples of the new Dodge Charger at the 2016 SEMA Show was a Star Wars-themed example from Nick Lopez and his team at Family Cus- toms. The Charger, which Nick named #VadarCharger, was derived from Lopez’s two childhood loves—the Star Wars brand and cars.

“Nothing goes together better than an American classic like Star Wars combined with the explosiveness and excitement of modern American musclecars,” he said.

The build featured extensive detail work, including 22-in. Triumph forged wheels, an AccuAir suspension, custom paint work from Exclusive Image Autobody, and a Corsa Performance cat-back X-pipe exhaust. Custom interior details included a Star Wars mural covering the headliner created by Wuzu graphic headliners, Katz- kin leather seats and a full Kicker audio system.
